I love their offering of individual slices, and the best one is the marinated mushroom slice. I love how the slice is served slightly crispy and firm, and the sauce is so delectable and distinctive. Service is spot on, and they keep the spot clean. I am going to get a whole pie to share with the husband one of these Fridays.
I've eaten here a few times over the past few years. More recently I came across their daily special a few months ago(2 slices and a soda for $8.50). Each time I've stopped in the customer service is great, the food is fresh and piping hot, and the restaurant is CLEAN! Today I ordered to slices and skipped on the soda for the water I bought it. $7.25 including tax. If you're looking for a great deal and great pizza, this is your spot!
Been going here since I was a kid so I have a lot of nostalgia connected to this place. So far I've tried the house pie special, margherita slice, pepperoni slice, and garlic knots. The crust on the pizza is so airy and crispy. While I love the house special, it's pretty rich so it's difficult for me to eat too much. However, the margherita slice is so flavorful and fresh; you can taste the quality of the ingredients. The garlic knots are also really good with the tomato sauce on the side. I feel like the quality isn't as good as it used to be, but it's still pretty good. Service is nice as well, and wait time can vary depending on what you order. It could be a bit pricey compared to fast pizza chains, but definitely worth it for the flavors and quality. Overall, would recommend as a good pizza spot in Temecula!
I had come in then plaza for a different restaurant but saw their daily special of two slices and a drink for $9. I chose their vegetarian and pepperoni slices. I gave them for my mom and brother to try. All of us liked them, the slices were not too crispy and the toppings were not soggy. The next day, I drove to get a whole 18" pizza ($30) for my family. The vegetables were not soggy and the artichokes were crispy. The spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions and garlic were sliced thin and were cooked well that they were crispy and a lot of the liquid evaporated to not make the crust soggy. The place was clean, have a rewards system and the staff was nice.
My husband loves their white pizza with mushrooms, but I think they're overpriced. We just moved to SoCal from the east coast and $17 for as large pizza with my favorite toppings is what I'm used to paying--NOT $25-$30. Not sure if that's the normal rate around here. Also, the pizzas in Rhode Island are excellent, so I'm pretty spoiled. Bongiorno's pizza to me is just okay. It's conveniently located very close to us, so my husband will probably return.
